Chemical Neutralizing Fluid It is possible that the transmission range can be reduced by a thin layer of air bubbles blocking the ultrasonic signal at the antenna. In open water, this will not be the case, but when used in a pool that has been recently treated with chemicals, a thin layer of bubbles can build up on plastic surfaces. This is prevented by the use of the CHEMICAL NEUTRALIZING FLUID.	The antenna is the black knob at the top of the headpiece.
